Terms of Service

By creating an account or using TamSwap, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our platform. TamSwap reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.

TamSwap is exclusively available to currently enrolled university students. Users are required to verify their accounts using their institutional email addresses (e.g., @fit.edu.ph) to ensure that every member belongs to a legitimate academic institution. You must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent to use TamSwap.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and truthful information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. Sharing accounts or credentials is strictly prohibited.

Users agree to engage in fair and honest transactions. All listings must accurately represent the items being sold, including their condition, price, and description. The following are strictly prohibited: • Posting counterfeit, stolen, or prohibited items • Creating duplicate or misleading listings • Engaging in fraudulent transactions or scams • Harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users • Manipulating pricing or reviews Violators will be reported to their respective institution and may face account suspension or permanent ban.

TamSwap facilitates peer-to-peer transactions between students. While we provide the platform for buyers and sellers to connect, TamSwap is not a party to any transaction between users. Users are encouraged to transact within verified campus meetup zones for safety. Digital payments are supported through secure QR-based payment methods including GCash, Maya, and QR PH.

TamSwap operates on a freemium model. The free plan allows up to three active listings with basic features. Premium plans (Student Plus at ₱29/month and Student Pro at ₱59/month) offer additional features including more active listings, listing boosts, and priority placement. Add-on services such as Boost Listing (₱15) and Reserve Fee (₱10–₱20) are also available. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

By posting content on TamSwap (including product photos, descriptions, and reviews), you grant TamSwap a non-exclusive license to display and distribute that content on the platform. You retain ownership of your content but are responsible for ensuring it does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights. TamSwap's branding, logos, and platform design are protected intellectual property.

TamSwap provides the platform on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of items listed. TamSwap is not responsible for disputes, losses, or damages arising from transactions between users. While we employ AI-powered fraud detection and moderation, we cannot guarantee the prevention of all fraudulent activity. Users transact at their own risk.

TamSwap reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or compromise the safety of the community. Users may also request account deletion at any time by contacting our support team.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from the use of TamSwap shall be resolved in the courts of Manila, Philippines.
